Baby sign language is a sign language which is spoken by infants as young as five months old, or is used by adults as they learn to read, write and comprehend spoken language.
It is an intermediate language that is spoken in one of three languages: English, French and Italian.
In many cases, it is used as a substitute for spoken language when people cannot understand another language, as they have difficulty with the acquisition of a new one.

A baby stroller was also made in 2017 in the style of the baby signer who was a teacher at the hospital in Brescia, Italy, where he helped patients to learn to sign.
The video shows a group of baby signers who are all of the same age and age range as the patient who is the baby stalker.
The baby signing is not about children being taught to speak.
Instead, it shows a mother giving a baby a sign and an elderly man who is listening.
The father, who is an expert on sign language, says that while babies cannot understand other signs, they are able to read signs and understand spoken language at a much higher level than children.
“We know that babies are developing at a similar level to children, so babies have more development in sign language,” he told Italian news agency ANSA.
“But this is not to say that babies cannot learn other signs in the future.”
He said that although it was not the baby’s fault if the signer did not speak, babies are not able to understand the sign as the sign is not understood by other people.
“It is very difficult to understand this sign in another language,” the father said.
