The New York Rangers’ Andrew MacDonald has made it clear he’s not happy about the team he’s playing for.
In an interview with the New York Daily News on Tuesday, MacDonald said he’s unhappy with the way the Islanders have been playing lately, and the way he’s been playing against the Rangers in particular.
“They’re the best team in the league right now,” MacDonald said.
“I think I played against them this year and I was disappointed with my performance, but that doesn’t mean I’m not happy.”
MacDonald added that he and his teammates have been working on making the game easier for him this year.
“We’ve all been working together,” MacDonald added.
“There’s a lot of new faces, a lot more players, a ton of speed, so I think we’re going to make the game a little easier for everyone.”
The Islanders have a lot riding on their game against the Devils in their next game on Wednesday, and MacDonald said it will be a huge test for the Rangers.
“You never want to play against a team like that, especially the first game,” MacDonald told the Daily News.
“When we play the Devils, we’re playing in a really big game.
I think it’s going to be a great test for us.”
The Rangers and Devils are both tied for the second-best record in the NHL.
